In June 2017 photographer Ed Gold had a one-man exhibition at Firstsite, a large and significant new art gallery in Colchester. The exhibition, Ed Gold Other Worlds, was made up of a hundred photographs taken over a period spanning almost thirty years. Documenting in words is as integral to Gold's practice as photography. He writes down conversations he has with his subjects, also keeping a journal of his own daily reflections. Some of this material was included alongside the photographs.
