In Darkest England compromises of twenty-three sheets in a clamshell box. Part one is an interview with Humphrey Spender about his role as photographer working for Mass Observation during 1937. *Part two is made up of typographic interpretations by different typographers of observer’s notes. Two examples here are by Barry Hurd and Kelvyn Smith. Other sheets were by Phil Baines, Darren Clarke, David Jury, Alan Kitching, Robert Park-Barnard, and Jeremy Tankard.
